Welcomes you and your pet
Divine Dogs was established in 2000 as a mobile pet grooming service and then a home-based salon.
Divine Dogs is proud to have opened a shopfront-salon in 2010 and will continue to provide a high quality, professional dog grooming service that includes all-breed clipping and grooming and dog washing.
Thank you for trusting us with the care of your dog.
At Divine Dogs, we subscribe to the highest pet industry standards in the care and grooming of your dog, with an emphasis on
• your dog’s health, safety and comfort
• a hygienic and pleasant environment
• products selected for safety and quality
• attention to detail

Please find below some additional information about our services.
OPENING TIMES:
Monday to Saturday 8.30am to 5.30pm
APPOINTMENTS
Grooming is by appointment only and bookings are essential. To ensure continuation of service and to avoid disappointment, please consider making the next booking when you collect your dog.
Please give us 24 hours notice of cancellations or rescheduling.
PAYMENT
By Eftpos, cash or cheque when you collect your dog. All cards except Diners Club and American Express are accepted.
RECORDS
Individual records are maintained about your pet, which include owner’s name, address and phone numbers, emergency and veterinary contact details, dog’s name, special needs and health status and details of the clip or groom, equipment used and style requested.
You will be asked to provide this information at your first appointment and we would appreciate being kept informed of any changes.
Please ensure your dog has been toileted BEFORE coming to the salon. There is a small park area adjacent to the library where you can walk your dog and we have “poo bags” in the salon.
Accidents do happen, but we would like to keep these to a minimum.
CAGES
We prefer not to have to cage dogs while they wait for grooming. Instead we dogs are in an open are with plenty of beds that are in full view of the groomers at all times.
However, there are occasions where caging is necessary
• anxious/aggressive dogs
• unsterilised male dogs
• timid, unsocialised dogs
Divine Dogs staff reserve the right to place dogs in a cage at their own discretion.
Female dogs in season will not be groomed.
GROOMING
At Divine Dogs, we groom and style pets according to Australian breed standards or your own particular requirements.
We do not, however, prepare dogs for the show ring.
We provide clipping and grooming for ALL breeds and ALL sizes of dogs.
CONSENT AND RELEASE FORM
Owners will be asked to sign a consent and release form before grooming can begin.
BATH-TIME
Divine Dogs has large stainless steel baths which have a ‘hydro-surge’ bathing system attached to them.
The hydro-surge system enables shampoo to be mixed with the water. It is efficient, quick and uses fresh water at all times.

Divine Dogs uses a shampoo called PetWay Petcare Pink. Made in Qld, Pink Shampoo contains no petrochemical or animal by-products. Ie, it does not contain lanolin, silicon, alcohol, sodium laurylsulfate or propylene glycol. Pure essential oils are used instead of synthetic fragrances and edible food dyes are used instead of artificial colourings.
Pink Shampoo is an excellent natural product that causes no irritation to the skin or eyes, neither does it leave any residue on the skin.
Dogs are dried with a chamois and towel before being completely dried with a high velocity and/or fluff dryer. There is no cage drying.
WHY GROOM?
Regular brushing of your dog, no matter what type of coat they have, is important for a few reasons.
• It keeps your dog looking good and feeling good
• It stimulates the skin which helps produce and spread the natural oils throughout the coat
• It is a great bonding time to share with your dog
• It provides for “up close and personal” observation of your dog’s overall health.

Regular clipping and grooming by a professional groomer maintains your dogs’ “style”, ensures the early removal of matting and knots and allows us to check your dog from head to toe and advise you of any health problems that may need support from a vet.
"Want to know the reasons why it costs more to have your dog's
hair cut than your own hair?"
Your hairdresser doesn’t wash and clean your rear end.
You don’t go eight weeks without washing or brushing your hair.
Your hairdresser doesn’t give you a sanitary trim.
Your hairdresser doesn’t clean your ears.
Your hairdresser doesn’t clean the boogies from your eyes.
You sit still for your hairdresser.
Your haircut doesn’t include a manicure or pedicure.
Your hairdresser only washes and cuts the hair on your head.
You don’t bite or scratch your hairdresser.
The likelihood of you pooing on your hairdresser is fairly slim.
